What Will Happen In Daredevil Season 3?

When Daredevil season 1 came out, I honestly had no idea what to expect. Ben Affleck’s Daredevil movie in the early 2000s was horrendous, and I had never been a huge Daredevil fan, but I gave the she a shot. Happily, I was blown away! I immediately read as many Daredevil comic books as I could, and I fell in love with the character like I had never before. Season 2 was not as good as season 1, but it was still an amazing season! Now with season 3 slated for w 2018 release, after The Defenders, Iron Fist, and The Punisher, we can expect a lot of things to happen to Matt Murdock during those shows’ times, leading up to season 3’s release.

Marvel is great at keeping their movies and shows hidden, and are great at preventing leaks about scripts, photos, sets, and information. So, next to nothing is known about the upcoming season of the man without fear, but based on season 2’s conclusion, and some things that happened throughout it, I have a very good idea on what is to come… Born Again.

Born Again is my favorite Daredevil story, and one of my most favorite in all of comics. It follows Matt Murdock, Kingpin, and Karen Page as the main characters. Karen sells Matt out for being the Daredevil to Kingpin, and he tries to ruin Matt’s life as much as possible. I don’t believe that Karen would sell Matt out in the show, but it could be found by some of Kingpin’s men, or something like that. Captain America and some of the Avengers get involved in the end with what happens, so it could be a way to tie the Netflix shows into the movies even more… With someone like Hawkeye, and or Black Widow maybe.

Here’s what we know so far about the 3rd season…

1. The End of Nelson and Murdock?

Daredevil‘s first season showed us the friendship between Foggy Nelson and Matt Murdock. The two even turned down jobs at a big law firm to start their own practice, focusing on bringing in clients who, while not always able to pay, desperately needed help. That all came burning down in Season 2, with Matt partially putting aside his professional duties to fight crime as Daredevil. This drove a wedge between his friendship with Foggy, who at the end of the season left their practice to work for Jeri Hogarth (aka Jessica Jones’ friend and lawyer). The move signified the end of Nelson and Murdock, and left their status as friends and partners very much up in the air for Season 3.

2. We’ll Next See Daredevil in The Defenders

Marvel’s packed Netflix schedule makes it so Daredevil’s next appearance will be in The Defenders, which is slated for a late-2017 release, which will directly follow the introduction of Finn Jones as Danny Rand in Iron Fist. We know little about what spurs the heroes alliance, but all signs point toward Daredevil as their ringleader, in an effort to battle a coming threat to all of New York. This will also be in a post-Sokovia Accords world, making their vigilante team-up a challenge to the law, and potentially putting them in the crosshairs of the federal government. So, William Hurt (aka Secretary of the State Thaddeus Ross,) could show up by the end.

3. Will We See Bullseye?

The Kingpin may be at the top of the list in terms of iconic Daredevil villains, but Bullseye isn’t far behind. It’s made it that much more curious that we haven’t even seen a sniff of him in two seasons. That fact hasn’t escaped lead actor Charlie Cox either, who’s said himself that he “can’t imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn’t show up at some point.” Bullseye didn’t even appear in comic books until Daredevil #131 anyways, so it does make sense to why he hasn’t appeared in the show, yet. But here’s hoping that the showrunners are listening.

4. What Will the Storyline Be?

All the signs are pointing to Born Again, so I really don’t see what else could be done, at this point. Elektra has been confirmed for The Defenders so she’ll be back for the time being by season 3, and the Hand is said to be a big part of The Defenders, so hopefully they’re finished with by season 3 so more singular villains, like Kingpin, Bullseye, Mister Fear, Tombstone, and even Death-Stalker could all possibly be done at some point. Daredevil’s rogues gallery is one of the most underrated in all of comic books by the way.

Almost nothing, who am I kidding, essentially nothing is know about the 3rd season! Maybe some major events will happen during The Defenders that will play out into the 3rd season?

By the way I have gotten an internship with http://www.heroichollywood.com to do for them what I do here, but I will definitely try to do articles through Word Press as much as possible. When I write an article for Heroic Hollywood, I will post the article link on my Superhero Dynasty Facebook page so you all can see it! Thank you all for the support!
